![]() Everything is still well on a Windows 10 computer.Īccording to information from Microsoft, the next version of Skype for Desktop for Windows will be built using electron version not affected by this issue. The two latest versions were built with electron 13.6.1 version, which crashes on media files when used on older Windows systems. The previous versions of the Skype application was built with an older electron version, and everything was perfectly well. The previous electron version might not have been affected by this issue.Įxactly the same happened with Skype for Desktop Preview installed on older Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 computers. This version was probably built with electron version which causes crash when playing media files. ![]() The only what I can say is that I suspect that the issue was caused by the latest Skype update to the 8.79.0.92 version. ![]() I cannot offer any help because I know practically nothing about Mac computers. ![]()
